How do you wield power in the bedroom?
How safe do you feel to let go?
In this one day workshop for GBTQ men*, you’ll explore taking and giving power - also known as dominance and submission.
You’ll practice how to effectively take control, while maintaining a deep connectedness and attunement to your partner. You’ll practice building trust, safety, and intimacy. You’ll practice letting go of control and the delicious surrender of submission.
There are many things that hold us back from stepping into our full erotic power - stories of not being good enough, having to perform, insecurities and doubt. During this day, you’ll get to playfully explore how to take power and land in greater confidence and ease.
Letting go of power can be equally scary - if not more! Many of us put tremendous effort into controlling all aspects of our lives, including our s*x. During this day, you’ll experience how letting go into a container of trust can be liberating, enlivening, and deeply pleasurable.
This workshop places a strong focus on respect, consent, and open communication. Through a series of practices, plays and scenes, you'll gain insight into the dynamics of power exchange and the profound intimacy that can arise from surrender and control.
Whether you're a seasoned practitioner of kink or a curious newcomer, this workshop provides a safe and inclusive space for you to explore your desires, awaken your senses, and give you the confidence to dive into power play with others.
*We warmly welcome all cis and trans men, as well as individuals with other gender identities within the queer masculine spectrum, regardless of body type, appearance, or disability.
What will you explore?
How to wield power in an erotic scene with playfulness and care
Letting go of control and the blissful release of submission
Tools for building a physical and emotionally safe container for power play
How to attune to your partner’s body language, energy, and desires
Communicating your desires and boundaries
Deepening your connection and intimacy
This event is for you if:
You want to be a more empowered lover
You want to challenge yourself to step into your s*xual power
You’re curious about surrendering or being submissive and want to explore in a safe environment
You’re new to kink play/power play and want to build a strong foundation
You’re an experienced kinkster, and want to feel more connected with partners in your scenes
You want to deepen your intimacy and connectedness with partners
You want to explore the energetics and spiritual aspect of kink/power play
You want to feel more confident in your desires and asking/negotiating for what you want
This event is NOT for you if:
You want detailed instruction on specific kink tools (ie shibari, bondage, whips, etc). We will use some kink toys during this day, but this day is focused on the energetics of taking power and surrendering rather than a technical training for specific tools.
You want to only explore dominance or submission. All participants will be invited to step into the energetics of both roles so that you can deeply understand the polarity of power play.
What if there’s someone there I don’t want to touch (or be touched by)?
Our events prioritise consent. You'll never be obliged to touch or be touched by anyone. We begin the event with exercises that empower you to say "no" both verbally and non-verbally. As facilitators we are here to ensure your safety, so you can have your own experience without worrying about unwanted touch.
While we encourage exploring beyond your usual preferences, it's entirely your choice. As you might in a massage, you may allow yourself to be touched or to touch someone you wouldn’t usually be attracted to. This event is about expanding your experiences beyond the workshop.
If you ever feel uncomfortable, you won't be forced to connect with anyone. Your safety is our priority.
Want to take your experience further?
